Colorectal or gastrointestinal (GI) cancer includes cancers of the stomach, intestine, colon, rectum, anus, liver, gall bladder and ampulla.
- Cancers of the colon and rectum combined are the third most common form of cancer and the second most common form of cancer death in the U.S.
- It is estimated that 153,760 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2007 and approximately 52,180 people will die.
